This calculator extracts a terrain elevation profile between a selected central point and every point in an area . It then determines the degree of intrusion into the Fresnel ellipse and marks a plot according to that intrusion. For version history of the calculator click here.

The coverage plot illustrates four colour coded degrees of obstruction: full first Fresenel zone clear, lower half obstructed, line of sight breached and full Fresnel zone breached at your chosen frequency and antenna heights. It is useful in VHF, UHF and SHF link path engineering.
